Jeremy Lubsey learned mastering from the best, Vlado Meller, first as an intern at Masterdisc in NYC and then as Vlado’s assistant engineer at Vlado Meller Mastering. Today Jeremy is a mastering engineer in his own right having worked on numerous projects from artists of a wide variety of genres including: Norah Jones, Jim Campilongo, Chris Morrisey, Josh Dion, Tina, Eatliz, Oren Barzilay, Peter Leo, Styles P, Dirty Dave, and Steve Cardenas to name a few.

“We have a process that is unique here at Vlado Meller Mastering, developed over the last 45 years…there is a method to the madness. The result is Vlado’s hit sound” explains Jeremy, “ Our passion really is to take every artist, every track to that level of sonic fidelity.”

At the age of 9, he started playing the Alto Saxophone. He eventually played saxophone all the way through his college years at the Hartt School of Music and at the University of Maryland Baltimore County where he majored in and obtained his B.A. in Music with an emphasis in Recording Technology.  While other kids were on vacation, he would spend his summer breaks in New York City working at Bedford Studios in Greenpoint Brooklyn, working as an intern/assistant for the studio recording music from all over the world.  He later transitioned to working at the renowned mastering house Masterdisk in Manhattan.  Within his two and a half years at Masterdisk, he started as an intern and ended as a vinyl cutting engineer cutting well over 300 lacquers for numerous artists.

Aside from his love of music, he really enjoys being around family, talk radio, and stuffing his face with exotic foods (cow tongue anyone??).  With all of his experiences, he brings a uniquely diverse and fresh set of ears and perspective to every project that he works on.
